A postdoctoral position is available in the School of Engineering at Laurentian University.
It is in system engineering.
Successful candidates will be expected to liaise directly with a collaborating industrial partner and focus on the following area:
* Dynamic modelling and simulation of smelter off-gas and a sulphuric acid plant used to recover SO2 and reduce environmental emissions.
The candidates should hold a PhD in Chemical or Process Engineering, or a related field with research experience in process modeling and a record of research excellence.
Initial appointment of the positions is for one year, renewable to two years subject to excellence of performance.
