Postdoctoral research fellowships in process systems engineering at
Northwestern University

Two postdoctoral fellowships are available, with competitive salary and
benefits, in the You Research Group at Northwestern University. Successful
candidates will be working on the solution methods for large-scale
mixed-integer nonlinear/dynamic optimization problems, or on the optimal
design and operations of sustainable energy production processes and supply
chains, in collaboration with researchers from industry and national
laboratories. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the
possibility of renewal for two additional years contingent upon satisfactory
performance and continued funding. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in
engineering or applied mathematics with expertise in mathematical modeling
and optimization, or in agent-based modeling and simulation. Individuals
with research experience in process synthesis, production planning &
scheduling, supply chain optimization or life cycle analysis are
particularly encouraged to apply.
