Subject: Exec Board Applications Open for 2022-23 - One for the World -
Reminder 1
Description:
Do you want to help end Global Poverty? Join One for the World (OFTW)! OFTW
is a non-profit organization that uses a rigorous, data-driven approach to
build a portfolio of the most effective charities in the world. OFTW then
encourages students to pledge to donate 1% of their post-grad income to these
selected charities in order to help end extreme poverty. We are looking for
passionate, motivated students that want to have a meaningful impact during
their time at UMD and beyond.
Available positions:
Treasurer: SGA and SEE Funding, manage student group budget and bank account
Secretary: Keep OFTW running smoothly (e.g. help plan events, coordinate
meetings, etc)
VP of Charities: Pitch training, keeping exec board informed about charities
VP of Communications: Manage social media (graphic design skills highly
preferred!)
VP of Events: Plan and run events (room reservation, agenda, food, etc)
VP of Outreach: Tabling and other outreach events
VP of Student Ambassadors: Recruit, onboard, and work with student
ambassadors.
VP of Alumni Outreach: Work to spread awareness of OFTW to UMD alumni
(existing alumni relations skills highly preferred!)

As a member of the Executive Board for the 2022-23 Academic Year, you will be
part of the third e-board to support the UMD OFTW chapter. It is an amazing
opportunity to get involved with an organization that is truly making a
difference while also gaining valuable communication and leadership
experience and benefiting from the large professional network of OFTW
chapters (from Harvard to UVA to UPenn!).
