Mercado, this free event includes a performance by the New School Teachers
and an open-mic for aspiring poets to show off their talents. Offering
their combination of expertise as spoken word artists and educators to each
high energy engagement, this intense and dynamic team can hold their own on
stage and in the classroom. Unstoppable and unconventional, Dr. Crystal
Leigh and Marco Mercado have melted the mic at university campuses, high
schools, and conferences around the world.
