Take your research or great idea and start a company! Enter the UMD Business Model Challenge by February 22, 2013 with just an executive summary and three-minute video pitch.

ACCELERATE

Up to six finalists will be invited to complete the new Maryland-Corps (M-Corps) program, where teams are guided through an intensive business model development and customer discovery process modeled after the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program.

Prizes will be awarded during the executive summary round, as well as to finalists completing the M-Corps program.

The University of Maryland Business Model Challenge is an intensive competition designed for students, staff, faculty, postdocs and recent alumni at the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore to leverage their talent and ideas to create tomorrow's leading companies.

The competition has historically awarded more than $697,000 to companies originating at the University of Maryland since 2001.

Winners are eligible for a free year in the TERP Startup Lab.
