Cannon Summer Scholars 2012, a competitive summer internship, in Charlotte, North Carolina. There are 25 openings for students to participate in a research project at Carolinas Medical Center (both bench laboratory and clinical opportunities are available). This is a paid opportunity and academically competitive. Minimum requirements are:

* Undergraduate overall GPA ? 3.5; undergraduate math and science GPA ? 3.6.
* If an undergraduate, completion of at least two full years [rising junior]
* Memberships in National Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha and/or receipt of National Merit Scholarships or other competitive scholarships will be a plus.

Summer program begins Tuesday, May 29 and concludes Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
