The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable
Energy (EERE) seeks applications for the newly offered SunShot Innovators
Program. This award funds recent Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate
graduates to examine innovative solutions to the challenges utilities, energy
service providers, and public utilities commissions face as they adapt to a
system with increasing levels of solar and other distributed energy
resources. Innovators selected for the program conduct hands-on, practical
research and development on-site at a utility, energy service provider, or
PUC host institution.


Benefits include:
--Yearly stipend ranging from $40,000 - $70,000+ based on academic level
--Research allowance of $10,000
--Health insurance
--Possible relocation travel up to $5,000


Requirements:
--Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident
--Must be 18 years old by May 1, 2017
--Must have earned Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree in past 3
years
