Is chemistry too difficult? Maybe your biochem or pchem? Do you need extra
help or someone you can sit with to talk out the material? Someone to review
concepts with for an exam?

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is offering paid tutoring for general and
organic chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry, and other major-required
chemistry subjects! The price range is between $15/hr and $35/hr based on the
subject and tutor expertise.

We have undergraduates who are interested in tutoring and did well in the
subject they tutor. Some have prior teaching experiences as TAs or tutors. If
you are interested fill out the form on our website
http://www2.chem.umd.edu/acs. Please list any preferences you might have in a
tutor. We will match you with a tutor as soon as possible (within 2-3 days).

Part of the proceeds go to fund our organization so that we can do more fun
chemistry events at our GBMs, support our ACS national trip, and local STEM
outreach.

Given the COVID-19 situation with classes all being online, ACS will still
have tutors available to work with you virtually using online video softwares
like Zoom or Skype. We will not have in-person tutoring sessions.
