Subject: Summer Research at the UM School of Medicine

University of Maryland Scholars Summer Research Program (UM Scholars)

A summer at the University of Maryland School of Medicine

The University of Maryland Scholars Summer Research Program (UM Scholars) at the School of Medicine
is an exciting opportunity for UMCP students who are interested in biomedical
research. Students will be immersed in research during the summer at the
University of Maryland School of Medicine at UMB, the Baltimore campus, and
mentored by the School of Medicine faculty members renowned in their fields.
A wide range of research projects in biomedical and health service fields are
available depending on interest. The UM Scholars program includes a variety
of enrichment activities that deepen the students’ understanding of
biomedical research, introduce them to different academic and career paths,
and connect them with like-minded peers including medical students and other
health professional students. A stipend of $4,500 will be provided. The
program is an initiative under the University of Maryland Strategic
Partnership: MPowering the State (MPower).

Summer 2022 program information and application materials are available
through the 2022 program webpage.
Respond through the Interest Form to
express your interest in the program and for important program information
and announcements. Questions can be sent to Ask UM Scholars.

Deadline for applications is February 8, 2022.
