The HPAO has a few very important upcoming events that will be extremely
beneficial for
students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions or those
who are
currently in the process of applying to professional schools.

1. AMCAS PRESENTATION

Date: Wednesday - March 23, 2016
Location: BRB 1103
Time: 4:30PM-5:30PM

A representative from the Association of American Medical Colleges will
preview the 2017
AMCAS application.  All students interested in applying to medical school in
the 2017
applicant cycle should plan to attend.

2. NORTHEAST DIVERSITY COLLABORATIVE MEDICAL SCHOOL WORKSHOP:

Date: Thursday - March 24, 2016
Location: JMZ 0220
Time: 5:30PM-7:30PM

Diversity officers from 6 regional medical schools will visit us to share
their wisdom on the
admissions process, the personal statement, the relevance of GPA and MCAT,
post-bacc
programs, financing medical education and more. The topics are general and
broadly
applicable for students interested in all health professions and even
graduate school.

3. HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOOL RECRUITMENT FAIR!!!

Date: April 6th 2016
Location: Stamp Grand Ballroom
Time: 2PM-5PM

Join us at our office's biggest event of the year, in collaboration with the
Career Center!
We will be hosting representatives from universities and colleges around the
country (as
well as some international programs) as their meet students to answer
questions about
their various graduate and professional programs in the health/medical
fields. Programs
include: Medical, Dental, Podiatry, Nursing, Public Health, PT, Naturopathic
Medicine, etc
and so forth.

In addition, there will be a breakout session from 3PM-4PM discussing Current
Issues in
Health Professions!
