Subject: Volunteer for Combating Overdoses in Rural Areas
Description: Want to make a difference in the lives of people affected by the
opioid epidemic? Want hands-on experience in public health intervention?
Consider joining CORA (Combating Overdoses in Rural Areas), a UMD student
nonprofit fighting the crisis through education, overdose response training
(ORT), and advocacy. Service activities include drug take back days,
community education day trips, and more. Volunteers will also have the
opportunity to become certified in ORT and introduce their own service
initiatives. The first weekly general body meeting will take place on
Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 7 PM in HJP2242.
