Description:
Interested in a career in State or Local Government?
Come to a relaxed, informal opportunity to meet and greet with State & Local
Government organizations interested in hiring UMD students for FULL-TIME and
INTERNSHIP positions. Each organization will give a 3-5 minute overview and
then be seated at tables to have conversations with students over light
refreshments for the remainder of event.

12:00-12:30: 3-5 minute employer presentation

12:30-2:00: Open House atmosphere with conversations over refreshments. Have
a one-on-one conversation with one or all employers!

Organizations attending:

- District of Columbia Department of Human Resources - including DC Mayor's
office and other departments

- Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) - Summer 2017
Practicum/Internships

- Maryland National Parks and Planning Commission - Park Management, Urban
Planning, Park Planning, Transportation Planning, and more.

- Shriver Center - Governor's Summer Internship Program, Maryland Department
of Transportation, and various Maryland Nonprofits
