Currently the American Red Cross has issued a nationwide appeal for blood
donors to boost a dwindling supply. Since January 1, the bad weather in DC
and the Northeast has created a situation where a total of over 30,000
blood/platelet donations have not been able to be collected.

Blood products help save peoples lives, whether it’s a blood transfusion for
a car accident victim, platelets for cancer patients, or frequent blood
transfusions for sickle cell patients.

The American Red Cross will be holding at the University of Maryland Stamp
Student Union in the Atrium from 9 am to 3 pm on:
