Subject: Careers in Earth and Environmental Science Panel

Description:
Interested in a career involving earth or environmental science? Maybe you're
interested in the earth, the environment, bodies of water, climate or the
weather. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn from and network
directly with professionals with backgrounds like yours that have found a
career in earth science. Gain inside knowledge by learning what skills
employers are seeking (such as GIS) and how to differentiate yourself from
the competition.

Rachel Krasna with NOAA- Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and
Services
Nancy Sealover with Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
(previous experience with NOAA with the Coral Reef Conservation Program;
Smithsonian Environmental Research Center; Friday Harbor Laboratories)
Amy Kline with Maryland Environmental Service
Lauren McAllister with  Booz Allen Hamilton (at the Department of Energy)
Yi Zhang, UMD- PhD Candidate in Geog in GIS and cartography

We expect this event will be of interest to Atmospheric and Oceanic Science,
Biological Sciences: Ecology and Evolution, Environmental Science, Geology,
Geography, Plant Science and other related majors.
