The Department of Transportation services is looking for a student IT Programmer!
 
This position will serve as a web developer and programmer to support the web 
environment and departmental applications. Under general supervision, the web 
developer and programmer provide installation, configuration and support of COTS 
as well as develop, implement and maintain in-house applications. On a regular 
basis, complex SQL queries will need to be written to supply information for 
business processes.
 
This position will work with the Assistant Director of IT and other programmers 
to create IT based policies and procedures and will work with a variety of 
University staff and students.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two years web development and programming experience.
 
Web development experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with 
programming in both PHP and JAVA.
 
Possess knowledge of Relational Database concepts with hands-on experience 
manipulating/querying complex databases.
 
Ability to communicate with both technology and business staff is essential, thus 
the candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. 
 
Preferences:
 
Knowledge of XML, Apple/Google Apps, Content Management Systems, and/or Flash 
development a plus.
