The NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program gives undergraduate students from across the United States to opportunity to truly experience what it is like to work at NASA. The purpose of the program is three-fold: to strengthen NASA's commitment to educational excellence, to facilitate student interest in future professional opportunities at NASA, and to provide a diverse group of undergraduate students with a challenging learning experience in the fields and disciplines aligned with NASA's research and development goals.

DUTIES
Through your involvement in the NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program, you will:
Participate in a 15-week research experience under the direction of a NASA technical mentor
Work on-site at one of 12 NASA facilities nationwide to contribute to ongoing project objectives
 Research, prepare, and submit an original technical paper
 Discuss research in public forums and attend NASA-sponsored colloquia, workshops, and technology demonstrations

REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student (rising sophomore, junior, or senior) majoring in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or physical/life sciences
Demonstrated commitment to the above disciplines (clubs, fairs, awards, internships, etc.)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0

SALARY: $9000 stipend plus reimbursed round-trip transportation
LOCATION: Various NASA Research Centers across the United States
