The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) protects the public health by assuring that foods are safe, wholesome, sanitary, and properly labeled and by guaranteeing that human and veterinary drugs and vaccines are safe and effective. The FDA Office of Planning develops and coordinates broad agency policy that furthers the FDA's mission to protect and promote public health. Through the Office of Policy Internship Program, students learn about federal programs, policies, and practices first-hand and gain the skills and knowledge necessary to make significant contributions to public health.
DUTIES
As an Office of Policy Intern, you will:
 Work on a variety of substantive projects, such as congressional hearings, drug importation
investigations, novel disease outbreak issues, and briefings for senior agency officials
 Develop professional skills
 Benefit from the personal attention of a mentor

REQUIREMENTS
In order to participate, you must:
Be at least 18 years old on or before the first day of the internship
 Have completed at least 2 semesters of college education
 Be a current undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student attending a college or university in the
United States
 Have demonstrated commitment to public service

SALARY: Unpaid
