First year students are welcome to take advantage of Terp Service Days, a monthly service opportunity for students to explore and serve at community sites in the greater College Park community.
Terp Service Days follow the service-learning model and include educational, service, and reflection components. The purpose is to develop students’ awareness of social issues and their personal connectedness to the greater community. Sites address a range of issues, including the environment, hunger, education, and homelessness.
