Subject: Net Impact Seeks STEM Students for Leadership Team
Description:
Are you a STEM major interested in social and environmental issues who wants
to make an impact?
Net Impact is an organization that does exactly this--and more, to empower
student leaders and help leave your mark on the community. Part of impact
"stems" from the belief that design can be used to solve challenges. A
growing movement of social innovators from many backgrounds are applying
design principles to questions such as: how might we create an incubator for
premature babies in remote poverty, improve mobility for amputees, or empower
girls in Zambia to determine their own reproductive health?
Net Impact needs you, your creativity, teamwork, and leadership ability to
help make a club on campus. The Smith school has a Net Impact chapter, but we
are interested in creating a chapter that encompasses interdisciplinary STEM
majors. As a chapter, we can host design sprints, TedX Talks, career events,
pro-bono consulting, etc. on the topics of health, social justice, climate
change, poverty, and more!

being part of an awesome team to help make this student organization become a
reality.
