Are you an undergraduate interested in making a positive change in the world?
Do you receive need-based financial aid? If so, there are two programs you
should learn about. See below links for information sessions.

1. The PPIA (Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Fellows -
https://ppiaprogram.org/) program is for juniors with strong interests in
pursuing careers in international affairs or domestic public policy.

This all-expenses-paid program for summer 2022 includes courses (with
transferable credit), a full range of extracurricular activities, and
career-development support, travel & room and board, and more!

Important: **This program focuses on students receiving need-based financial
aid (demonstrated by FAFSA), as well as students from groups historically
underrepresented in international affairs leadership roles in government,
nonprofits, international organizations and other institutional settings.**

PPIA is open to juniors who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA
recipients; GPA of 3.0 recommended.

The deadline will likely be in early November.



2. The Rangel Summer Enrichment Program
(http://rangelprogram.org/summer-enrichment-program/) is for students with
strong interests in pursuing careers in international affairs. The program
provides undergraduate students with a deeper appreciation of current issues
and trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career
opportunities in international affairs, and the enhanced knowledge and skills
to pursue such careers.


This all-expense-paid program takes place at Howard University for six weeks
in summer 2022.

The Rangel program encourages the application of members of minority groups
historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service; the program has a
strong focus on students who receive need-based financial aid (demonstrated
by FAFSA).

Rangel is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors and requires U.S.
citizenship. Rangel requires a GPA minimum of 3.2.

The deadline will likely be in early February 2022.
