Subject: PPIA and Rangel Summer 2022 International Affairs Programs - Info
Sessions

Description:
Are you an undergraduate interested in making a positive change in the world?
Do you receive need-based financial aid? If so, there are two programs you
should learn about. See below links for information sessions.

1. The PPIA (Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Fellows) program
is for juniors with strong interests in pursuing careers in international
affairs or domestic public policy. https://ppiaprogram.org/

This all-expenses-paid program for summer 2022 includes courses (with
transferable credit), a full range of extracurricular activities, and
career-development support, travel & room and board, and more!

Important: **This program focuses on students receiving need-based financial
aid (demonstrated by FAFSA), as well as students from groups historically
underrepresented in international affairs leadership roles in government,
nonprofits, international organizations and other institutional settings.**

PPIA is open to juniors who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA
recipients; GPA of 3.0 recommended.

Deadline: November 1

2. The Rangel Summer Enrichment Program is for students with strong interests
in pursuing careers in international affairs. The program provides
undergraduate students with a deeper appreciation of current issues and
trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career
opportunities in international affairs, and the enhanced knowledge and skills
to pursue such careers. http://rangelprogram.org/summer-enrichment-program/

This all-expense-paid program takes place at Howard University for six weeks
in summer 2022.

Important: the Rangel program encourages the application of members of
minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service.

Rangel is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors and requires U.S.
citizenship. Rangel requires a GPA minimum of 3.2.

The deadline will be in early February 2022.
