Subject: This April - Do not miss the CIRMS Meeting at NIST!
Description:
Don’t miss what’s promising to be an outstanding meeting at NIST this
April. Please register before the deadline of April 1, 2019 to attend the
27th Annual Meeting of the Council on Ionizing Radiation Measurements and
Standards (CIRMS) to be held April 8-10 at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
This year we have an outstanding lineup of presenters from multiple areas of
ionizing radiation measurements. The theme of the Conference is
“Strengthening the Economy and Homeland Security”. A few highlights
include Dr. Joel England’s keynote presentation on a new generation of
accelerators that will fit in a shoe box! A special panel on the effect of
switching from irradiators to x-ray sources for multiple applications
including radiobiology research and blood irradiations. An overview of new
detectors for radiation detection in homeland security applications, a
special session on targeted radionuclide therapies (TRT), another session on
the Chemistry and Biology of the DNA damage and much more, including many
poster presentations! For further topics, please see the preliminary agenda
at http://cirms.org/conference_agenda.html
The CIRMS meetings promote interaction and stimulating discussions so don’t
miss this opportunity to come and be part of it.
Register today online or before the deadline of April 1st at
http://cirms.org/registration.html.
Feel free to share with other colleagues that may be interested in attending.
We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks at CIRMS 2019!
