Subject: Maryland Space Grant Scholarships

Description:
Applications are open for the 2014-15 Maryland Space Grant
Scholarhips, with a deadline of May 15:
http://md.spacegrant.org/index.php?page=scholarship-form
These scholarships are awarded to full-time STEM majors who are
considering aerospace-related careers. (Examples include all careers
relating to NASA science and engineering.) Applicants must be Maryland
residents (or graduates of a MD high school) and U.S. citizens.
Eligibility requirements also include a 3.0 GPA or better and a record of
community service. Awards are typically in the $2k-$10k range and must be
used for educational expenses (tuition, books, fees, and room and board).
The award is for one year and is renewable annually.
Historically, relatively few students have applied for the
scholarship, so it is worth your while to apply if the scholarship seems
appropriate for you. The MD Space Grant website states that new
scholarships may not be available in 2014-15, but this should not apply to
UMD/CMNS students.
Please feel free to contact me ([log in to unmask]) or the MD Space
Grant office ([log in to unmask]) if you have any questions. Good luck!
