Description:
Dr. Osamah Saeedi at the University of Maryland Department of Ophthalmology
is looking to hire a full-time clinical research coordinators immediately.
Positions typically span to the end of the academic year but can be extended
as needed. Previous employees have gone on to medical school and residency at
the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins, Baylor, and Northwell.

The research coordinator position involves patient recruitment, interfacing
with the IRB, carrying out study procedures, and coordinating patient visits.
Those in the research assistant position will be involved in multiple
clinical research studies, animal studies (non-human primates and rabbits),
and data analysis. Both positions provide individuals with clinical exposure
and the opportunity to present/publish research, with the research assistant
position allowing more time for in-depth scientific research.  Ideal
applicants are very organized and have experience with research, teamwork,
and patient interaction.
