We are looking for a recent graduate for a position in our anatomic pathology
lab close to College Park. The position would include general laboratory and
administrative work with training to become a histotechnologist. Please email

Position Summary for Histotechnologist:
Ensures proper processing of submitted pathology specimens. Orients and
embeds processed pathology specimens in
embedding medium to ensure optimal sectioning. Utilizes proper microtomy
techniques to section paraffin-embedded
tissues (blocks) producing high quality slides for routine standard and
advanced staining. Performs routine standard and
special staining procedures, coverslips (manually or using automation) and
appropriately labels completed slides
following standard protocols. Microscopically reviews daily staining quality.
Communicates to maintain team
knowledge, demonstrates knowledge of regulatory standards in order to satisfy
compliance requirements, and
participates in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team,
and service department development.
