Beta Iota Omicron is an organization dedicated to helping both our members
and the public, while having some fun. We host a number of free
professional events each semester, and we have our first one: our Anacostia
River Clean-Up.

We will be working with the organization United By Blue to clean up the
Anacostia River on Saturday, October 8th from 10AM to 2 PM. We will be
meeting at the Stamp bus station at 8:30 AM. Everyone will have to sign a
waiver for safety reasons (we will provide the waivers on sight). We will
take the 9 AM UM bus to the College Park Metro Station, and then take the
metro to the Stadium Armory station, where we will disembark and walk to the
Anacostia Park parking lot. United By Blue will be providing coffee and
lunch.

These events are a great way to network with some great people, help out a
good cause, and show interest in rushing B.I.O. this spring. If you're
interested in attending, please sign your name on the Google Doc below so we
know how many people to expect.
