Subject: Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Programme Recruitment
Description:
The Kidney Disease Screening Awareness Program (KDSAP) at the University of
Maryland is recruiting for the fall semester! KDSAP is an organization that
focuses on community outreach to local medically underserved populations and
allows students to organize and run kidney health screenings. We are looking
for interested, highly motivated individuals who hope to engage with the
surrounding College Park community, and through hands-on patient interaction
learn more about the impacts of kidney disease on community health. This is
an ideal opportunity for public health science and pre-medical students.
This upcoming semester, UMCP KDSAP will be hosting our very first student-led
screening event! Through this screening event, students will be able to gain
hands-on clinical experience under the supervision of a nephrologist from the
University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Additionally, we plan on continuing our other programs such as kidney health
awareness workshops/events with our community partners, the chance to connect
with local nephrologists, and many more!

20-25 new members for this upcoming semester. Group interviews will be
conducted during the end of August/beginning of September.
