The Office of International Affairs is pleased to offer the Universitas 21
(U21) Global Citizens program to a select group of 75 UMD students.

During this three-week experiential online course, you will:
develop the necessary leadership skills to advance your understanding of the
most pressing global challenges of our time,
connect and collaborate with a diverse cohort of students from across U21’s
international network,
design projects that prepare you to take rapid action on the UN Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs),
challenge preconceptions, and learn how to live and maintain your values and
integrity.

Participants will be awarded a Global Citizenship micro-credential from
Common Purpose and U21, which demonstrates that they have the skills
necessary to tackle complex global issues as internationally educated
leaders.
