CMNS Students,
In honor of our former Dean, the College of CMNS is calling for nominations for the J. R. Dorfman Prize for Undergraduate Research.
The prize ($1,000) will be awarded for the best research project conducted by one of our current undergraduate majors.
* Entries must include a typed double spaced report, an abstract, and a statement explaining where the work took place and whether or not the project has been or will be submitted for academic credit.
* The work may have been submitted elsewhere for support, a grade or prizes.
* The work may have been done on or off campus.
* Students should request two letters of support, one from the research advisor and one from another faculty member. Support letters can be sent independently, included with the paper or emailed.
The deadline for submission of projects and letters of support is March 31, 2011.
Projects will be judged by a small committee of our faculty. The Prize will be awarded at the CMNS Student Honors Reception on April 5, 2011.
