Dear UMD undergraduate student,
Here’s your chance to tell us what you think.
We invite you to be an important part of a one-hour design workshop, in which you can tell us about and illustrate your ideal library spaces. This input -- your telling us how you need and want to use library space and resources -- will be part of a participatory design study this fall. In short, you will participate with us in the re-design of McKeldin Library.
We value your contribution and hope you can participate with fellow undergraduate students in this innovative project. Please express your interest by Tuesday, October 25 for a workshop on Tuesday, November 1 in Room 6137, McKeldin, by responding to [log in to unmask] In your response, please write “undergraduate student” and include the approximate time that you will be able to come for the workshop.
The workshop space will be open and staffed 9:30 to 4:00 so you can participate in the hour that best suits your schedule. Refreshments will be available during the workshop; participants will also receive free copy cards as a token of appreciation. Twenty students will be randomly selected from all who respond to this invitation and will receive an email confirmation by Friday, October 28.
If you have questions, please contact Lulu Barnachea at [log in to unmask] (301-405-9299) or Jane Williams at [log in to unmask] or 301-405-9124. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the workshop.
Sincerely,
Patricia A. Steele
Dean of Libraries
