Exciting summer research opportunity at the University of Maryland School of
Medicine for sophomores and juniors in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics study fields.  Program includes 9 weeks of biomedical research
mentored by faculty at the School of Medicine and enrichment experiences
throughout the summer.  Stipends included.  The program is an excellent
opportunity for those interested in research and interested in pursuing MD,
PhD, or MD-PhD degrees.

Basic Eligibility Considerations:
-UMCP undergraduate students currently in their 2nd or 3rd year of studies
(Sophomore or Junior).
-Majoring in any science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field.
-GPA Minimum GPA of 3.2 (cumulative) with preference for strong science
   performance. GPA of 3.5 or greater preferred.

The UM Scholars Program is a collaborative endeavor between the University of
Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine and the Maryland Center for
Undergraduate Research, with financial support from the MPower Program.
