The Advanced Pediatric Brain Imaging Laboratory at the Children's National
Medical Center in Washington, DC is currently seeking highly-motivated
students that are interested in learning to apply quantitative MRI methods
to investigate brain development in fetuses and prematurely born infants.
Our primary focus is to study the causes and consequences of early life
brain injury in high-risk fetal, preterm and full-term infant populations
through the use of advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques. The
long-term goals of our research program is to develop reliable biomarkers
of brain injury that will guide medical, surgical and rehabilitation
interventions aimed at preventing injury and minimizing long-term
developmental disability.

The chosen candidate will gain experience pertaining to:
-MRI theory and acquisition methods
-Advanced MRI post-processing techniques
-Developmental brain disorders
-Brain anatomy
-Linux/UNIX syntax

Interested candidates should forward a cover letter and resume to Dr.
Catherine Limperopoulos ([log in to unmask]).
