Preparing Chemical Inventory Lists
Stormwater Restoration
Stormwater Quarterly Sampling
Fall Protection Inspections
Zero Waste Audits
Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
Assisting with Job Hazard Assessments
Some Data Entry

Responsibilities:
All internships are project-based. The day-to-day responsibilities will vary
among tasks related to the environmental, health and safety of the site.
Specific position & project descriptions will be provided prior to
interviewing or being selected for an internship position.
·Maintain Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Files: Organize and maintain
files and archive old EHS records.
·Assess site recycling and waste programs for opportunities to increase
recycling rates and reduce waste costs.
·Develop alternative energy project portfolio for the Frederick Site
·Regulatory Tracking Database: Update permit information in regulatory
tracking database.
·Industrial Hygiene Program: Organize industrial hygiene files
chronologically and create electronic index of files.
·HAZCOM Program: Process MSDSs received by EHS/ file hardcopy MSDSs, update
hazard communication signage.
·Emergency Response Program: Inspect and stock ERT cabinets, order ERT
supplies, update ERT training information.
Minimum Qualifications (must have)
Requirements
Intern candidates must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or
university pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD program. Graduating
students are eligible only if they are returning to school the following
semester to pursue the next level degree.
