Subject: Maryland Day volunteers needed for Biology room

Description:
Maryland Day is Saturday April 28.  I need volunteers to help out in a room
filled with biology related activities. This is a chance to share your
enthusiasm and knowledge with the general public. The activities include:

·      Helping visitors make DNA-code bead bracelets.
·      Guiding visitors with testing their reaction times using reaction
time rulers.
·      Testing visitors knowledge with the Biology Quiz.
·      Explaining to visitors the history of human evolution using models of
hominid skulls.

Volunteers work in 2 hour shifts between 10am and 4pm. I can use up to 6
volunteers for each 2 hour time slot. All activities will be set up when you
arrive and explained to you. It’s a fun and easy way to bring an
appreciation of biology to people in and around our community. You will
receive a MD t-shirt, some small UMD logo items in return for your help.
