Subject: Bearing Our Own Flags cultural event
Description:
Tuesday | November 29th | 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. | STAMP Nanticoke Room
The Bearing Our Own Flags is a unique cultural event that will allow members
of the UMD community to dive deep into the lived experiences of Asian
American Pacific Islander (AAPI) students. Come and hear people from a
variety of ethnic backgrounds share their narrative about how they've
experienced race/ethnicity/culture. You'll be able to sit down one-on-one and
learn what it means to be a Vietnamese American, Filipino American, Indian
American, etc. While many cultural showcases utilize food, music, and dance
as a means of sharing culture, this event aims to showcase culture through
the power of storytelling.
