Health Career Connection (HCC) provides undergraduate students, interested in healthcare and public health careers, an opportunity for a paid internship during the summer of 2012. HCC's comprehensive summer internship program provides hands on exposure, experience and mentoring. This educational internship assists undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue careers in public health, health policy and management, health education, community health, nursing administration, pre-medicine, health information technology and environmental health.

HCC partners with leading health organizations to offer meaningful internship experiences based in seven regions: Northern California, Central Valley, Southern California, Coachella Valley, New England, New York/New Jersey and North Carolina. HCC also partners with leading graduate health professions schools to provide regional intern cohorts with professional development workshops and information about how to best prepare and be competitive applicants for graduate education.

Placements are in all functions of an organization, including operations, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, public relations, billing and compliance. We have a strong focus on students of color and aim to increase the ethnic diversity of health leaders.

To find out more about HCC, frequently asked questions and to view the student information webinar schedule, please visit

Please note: Applications must be submitted online by February 6, 2012 by 11:59 pm PST.
