We are excited to announce a new, expanded internship opportunity aimed at engaging, recruiting, and training highly qualified undergraduate students from underrepresented minority and other disparity populations, from local universities, into minority health and health disparities research careers. The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center of Excellence for Health Disparities (CEHD) is sponsoring the 2013 Spring/Summer Opportunity for Achievement in Research-Minority Health and Health Disparities (SOAR-MHHD) Research Internship, a sister program to the highly successful SOAR-Health Program through the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS).
Research interns will participate in multi-disciplinary research projects of senior investigators who will also serve as mentors and role models. Students can visit our website for the announcement, application, recommendation form, and answers to frequently asked questions at http://georgetownhowardctsa.org/education/career-development/summer-program. The application can be completed and returned electronically along with the required materials. The application deadline is January 31, 2013.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Lan T. Le, Program Coordinator, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
