Subject: Annual Advocate for Equity Award Presentation and Reception

Description:
Apr 20, 4-5pm - Annual Advocate for Equity Award Presentation and Reception

Dear Community:

On behalf of the LGBT Equity Center, I would like to cordially invite you to
the annual Advocate for Equity award presentation and reception. Every year
the LGBT Equity Center awards a member of the UMD community who is part of
the Rainbow Terrapin Network (by completing the Rainbow Terps membership
training) who has gone above and beyond in their efforts to bring equity to
LGBTQ+ individuals, and to build a more inclusive campus culture.

This year, we have the pleasure to announce Neal McKinney as the recipient of
the Advocate for Equity award!

Join us on Monday, April 20th, from 4pm-5pm in the Memorial Chapel, to be
followed with light refreshments. Please bring friends and colleagues.
Students, staff, and faculty are all welcome!

This year, the ceremony will also include the induction of our very first
cohort into the newly formed Lavender Leadership Honor Society. (Please
encourage undergrad and grad students to apply for the Honor Society by April
2nd: http://ter.ps/llhs15)
