The Model Minority Theory... Is it biased? Still prevalent today? Join the sisters of Alpha Theta Gamma Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated as we explore the Model Minority Theory with Dr. Shinagawa from the Asian American Studies Department at the University of Maryland. We will be discussing the history of the theory and have a dialogue about its presence in the community, ramifications for social interaction within/ between races, and how it affects higher education.
