SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) is in *desperate* need of
volunteer's for our event tomorrow Wednesday, May 7th!

*Noche de Ciencias (Night of Science) is a three hour bilingual event for
parents and students about STEM (Science Technology Engineering
Mathematics) and preparing for college.* Hand on activities are provided
for the students, where they learn about the fields in STEM. The purpose is
to show them that STEM can be a rewarding and fun experience.

Meanwhile, parents are attending presentations on how to support their sons
and daughters through their higher education. Some presentations are
Financial Aid, Importance and Benefits of a Career in STEM, and more. These
presentations are provided by professionals in both English and Spanish. *It
is a free event with dinner and transportation included.* We hope to
inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
