Subject: Seeking undergraduate science illustrators
Description: The Joint Quantum Institute is looking for undergraduate
students with a strong interest in conveying science to non-expert audiences.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with professional
science communicators through the JQI Public Affairs office and to create
graphics and other media for use in an online resource about modern physics.
Experience with computer-generated illustration and/or animation preferred.
Students with experience in other areas such as video/audio editing or web
development will also be considered. This position is open to all majors, but
preference will be given to those with more knowledge of the physical
sciences.This position is part of a mentorship program and will be paid
following a period of training and evaluation. Support for this position is
through the Joint Quantum Institute and an NSF Advancing Informal STEM
