*ATTENTION PRE-MED/PRE-HEALTH STUDENTS!*
Looking for that competitive edge that will separate you from
hundreds of other pre-professional school applicants during your
interviews? If so, then please join the Charles R. Drew Pre-Medical/Health
Society along with American Medical Student Association (AMSA), UMD
Pre-Medical Society, Delta Epsilon Mu (DEM), and UMD Pre-Dental Society in
hosting Dr. Robert E. Fischell.
Dr. Fischell, founder of Angel Medical Systems
Incorporated and UMD's Fischell Department of Bioengineering, has invented
and currently maintains over 200 patents for biomedical devices such as
stents, pacemakers, and insulin pumps. These devices are important advances
in
medicine, and new devices like it will be very important in the future.
Medical bioengineering is a prevalent topic in health care and attending
this event will provide you with the knowledge
to impress your interviewers!
This event will take place on Thursday, April
19th at 5:30pm in the Charles Carroll Room of the STAMP Student Union.
Refreshments will be served.
