 Interested in becoming Science educators and gain experience and add to your resume? 

At our school we offer a summer science enrichment experience for our incoming 10th graders that focuses on lab skills with emphasis in the theme of how structure fits function in biology processes.  It is a semi-intense course, see below for more on the content and specific dates.  If you know of any grad/undergrad student that is interested please pass on this information, it is a paid position.

Job Description: 
Lab instructor to incoming 10th graders.  

Course Description:
Cellular processes such as respiration, osmosis and diffusion, fermentation, DNA replication, mitosis and meiosis are covered by conducting hands-on experiments along with focused inquiry-based mini-lessons.  Course is only two weeks long, dates are set for July 16-27, hours are 9am to 12pm.  Materials for the course and labs will be provided, instructor is responsible for set up and clean up of labs.  Syllabus for the course can be sent to interested parties.

Compensation: $1500 for the two weeks, ($35.00/hr in classroom/lab, plus $500 for course planning/lab prepping and clean up)

Candidates applying should:
-have a strong background knowledge in basic biology content
-be comfortable in laboratory environments
-be willing to work well with teens
-have strong communication skills
-be able to work independently
-have good work ethic
