Media maker/Teaching lab support position to begin in August 2014.
Undergraduate student worker to support the needs of the microbiology
teaching labs.
Student will work with the Manager of the Media Room Facility in the CBMG
Department to prepare media and supplies for microbiology courses.

Duties will include:
media preparation, pouring agar plates, use of autoclaves in media
preparation and media   disposal, and setting up the labs for classes. This
is not a research position, but the job provides a very important role
supporting the success of the teaching labs. Students will learn the skills
of media preparation, aseptic technique, and time management. This position
includes opportunities for engagement with science faculty and graduate
students and participation in the larger teaching mission of the microbiology
teaching program.

No prior experience is necessary or expected. Students who have science
background or have completed a course in microbiology and have demonstrated
academic success are preferred.  We are looking for a reliable student who is
interested in stable employment (15-20 hours each week) with a 2 year
commitment.
