Subject: CORA:Combating Overdoses in Rural Area
Description:
Are you interested in combating the opioid epidemic? Would you like an
in-person experience in public health interventions? Have you personally been
affected by the opioid epidemic and want to make a difference? Do you want to
help others?
If you said yes to any of these questions, consider joining CORA (Combating
Overdoses in Rural Areas), a new UMD student organization with the mission of
fighting the opioid crisis in rural areas with education, overdose response
training, technology, and advocacy. CORA action teams will develop
educational modules on opioid use during the semester and travel to rural
counties in Maryland to present them during break.
We are looking for members as well as executive board members. Our member
applications are rolling, but if you are interested in exec board, please
apply here by July 31st: ter.ps/cora
