Hello Everyone,

Every year the American Cancer Society holds a huge fundraiser called Relay
For Life – which we also have on campus. At UMD, Colleges Against Cancer
(CAC) plans the event. A huge part of this event is the community of people
whom we Relay for – the cancer patients. As part of Relay, we want to reach
out to survivors of cancer to get to know them and their stories to learn
more about why this cause is important, but also to spread awareness about
the cause.
We’re reaching out from Colleges Against Cancer and Relay for Life UMD for
your help in finding survivors of cancers – we would love to get to know
you and your stories – so please if you are a survivor, or if you know a
survivor who may be willing to share their experiences – please email us at

In addition, we would also be grateful to hear stories from those of you who
know/knew cancer patients and would be willing to share your experiences.
