Overview
I.M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG) www.imsg.com, is looking for an Education
Program Coordinator candidate (with science and/or engineering background) to
join our Team supporting NOAA/NESDIS in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Responsibilities
   Position Description

The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing an exhibit of NOAA’s
Science On a Sphere and associated programming with the NOAA Office of
Education and Satellite and Information Service.  This person serves as a
technical and content expert for Science On a Sphere at the agency
headquarters in Silver Spring, MD and also develops partnerships across the
agency for new content and to promote use of the facility. The position fuses
skills from education, earth and environmental science, and communications.
The Program Coordinator will also provide programmatic, technical, and
administrative support for this program. Under general supervision, the
selected candidate will be responsible for managing all logistical and
technical aspects of exhibit operations.  This includes, but is not
necessarily limited to:
Operate and maintain the display systems, associated computers and networks,
and other exhibit technologies.
Serve as the lead presenter, event facilitator and/or emcee at exhibit
events.
Train NOAA staff on how to use and present on the Science On a Sphere system.
Develop and update training materials for users.
Help develop, maintain and update SOS data catalog assets together with the
NOAA VizLab team.
Maintain operational procedures and manuals for exhibit.
Maintain the exhibit schedule and a calendar of events.
Coordinate exhibit events.
Develop and maintain relationships with other NOAA offices, including
liaising with education and communications representatives from across NOAA,
through written and oral communications.
Promote exhibit activities and services through various forms of media to
internal and external audiences.
Liaise with NOAA IT and building engineers to maintain proper network
functioning.

The Coordinator will also assist with the management of the Science On a
Sphere user network. This includes but is not necessarily limited to:
Organize and help run in-person and virtual workshops.
Organize and host education forums.
Liaise with the NOAA SOS team based in Boulder, CO.
Identify and develop best practices for use of Science On a Sphere.
Support NOAA exhibits at science education conferences.
The Coordinator will perform other duties as assigned.
