Subject: UMDTC/AMSA/ITASA Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive

AMSA, UMDTC, and ITASA will be jointly sponsoring a Bone Marrow Donor
Registration Drive on Monday, February 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Prince
George’s Room at the Stamp Student Union. The Be The Match bone marrow
donor registry is often the last resort for those diagnosed with
life-threatening diseases such as leukemia or lymphoma for which a marrow
transplant may be their best or only hope for a cure.

Our drive hopes to increase the number of donors on the registry. All you
have to do to be a potential donor is to provide a cheek swab. We will then
send it to the National Marrow Donor Program so that you can be added to the
registry. The entire process will take no more than 15-20 minutes. While we
will accept walk-ins throughout the day, we would appreciate it if potential
donors could please RSVP for a guaranteed time slot.
