We are once again holding our joint university Student Research Conference.  Everyone please plan on attending and think about submitting a proposal!  If you are presenting at CIES this is a good place for a dry run.  If you've never presented before this is a good place to try.  Your topic doesn't have to match up to the theme.

CONFERENCE OF STUDENT RESEARCH

February 21, 2009 at American University

Proposals are due February 8.  The following types of submissions are welcome:

Completed research. Class papers can be used; Proposed research. The abstract for proposed research should include the research objectives, proposed methodology, and a discussion of expected outcomes; Case Studies; Work-in-Progress Reports in order to generate discussion and feedback; Reports on Issues Related to Training, such as reports related to innovative training techniques, training design or research related to training.

 

Format of Presentations

 

Paper sessions will have three to four papers presented in each 90-minute session, giving each presenter 15 minutes with time for discussion at the end.  Panel sessions will provide an opportunity for three or more presenters to speak in a more open and conversational setting with conference attendees.  

Submission Process

Send a title, presenter, organizer and panelists, email address(es), institution(s), 100 word abstract (or abstracts for a panel), and five key words to [log in to unmask]  Include in the subject line: SRC_Proposal_LastName_University.  Due date February 8.
