The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Office of Fellowship Training seeks one or two paid summer interns. This position is located in the Office of Fellowship Training, Division of Intramural Research Programs, in the National Institute of Mental Health on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD. The NIMH/DIRP plans and administers a comprehensive, long-term intramural program dealing with the causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. The NIMH Office of Fellowship Training develops programs for and oversees the Intramural Research Program's integrated multidisciplinary fellowship training program, and provides administrative support and resources for all training-related activities.
This is a paid intern position which will serve as support to the Director and Assistant Director of Fellowship Training. This entails providing administrative, program and editorial support for an active summer training program. Incumbent should have knowledge of Microsoft applications and a willingness to learn and assist in a variety of tasks with regards to orienting summer students. The Office plans and organizes an annual scientific retreat, a grant writing seminar, and a scientific ethics course among other events, and the incumbent will be able to assist in the planning of these courses as appropriate.
